I still remember when you turned up on our first video call together, the picture glitched a few times as the signal crossed oceans from South Africa to our home in Derbyshire. And then you told us all about your dreams of your English summer garden wedding by the coast. Your excitement then was palpable, but your actual wedding day? It was everything you described and so much more.
The atmosphere was incredible, every single person gathered from across the earth, visibly thrilled to be celebrating your wedding day with you. Weddings are unusual for everybody in the way they bring your closest families and friends together in one place on one day, but when your families live on different continents it means a whole lot more.
The little village church, simply beautiful, with flowers gathered and tied to the pews, and tree branches bringing the outside in. Dayne’s reaction as Izzy walked up the aisle says it all. What an incredible way to say I do.
I knew it was going to be a beautiful day when Izzy kicked off her shoes the moment we got down to the dock, your relaxed and excited attitude set the tone for everybody. The sun lit up the beautiful garden marquee all afternoon, and as the sun set and we moved indoors an incredible night of celebration unfolded.
Incredible bountiful food, surrounded by gorgeous friends and family, and the perfect atmosphere is the recipe for a perfect wedding breakfast, and yours delivered. But it was when the dancing started and the dance floor stayed full for every single second that you could really tell what an incredible wedding day yours was.
Every wedding stays with us, but yours will always remain as a little slice of paradise on the south coast, where you two started your next chapter. We loved filming for you, and loved editing your film even more.
