Kelsey & Tim’s Traditional Belgian Destination Wedding
at St Charles Borromeo Church in Antwerp
and afterwards at Kasteel van Brasschaat
You have GOT to be kidding me with this video!!! The tears flowed while we got to relive the most special day of all time. We’ve sent it to family and they compared it to a Netflix show.
We can’t thank you enough for this gift of a movie. Something we will show our kids, have forever, and will serve as a constant reminder of this day and our bond. You both are so incredible in every way. Thank you for sharing your talent, for being so understanding, and for getting to know us and letting that show through in this video.– Kelsey & Tim
This fairytale wedding in Antwerp was pure magic. Yes, there was the formal ceremony, incredible attire and the most wonderful families – but it was the love between Kelsey and Tim that shone through. It was truly unforgettable.
We drove over to Antwerp to film for Kelsey and Tim. From our home in Derbyshire, we drove to Canterbury, stopping to have a wander round as Bradley went to university there. We stayed the night ready for our early ferry crossing. The weather was perfect and the sea was the bluest of blues, and so very calm. The drive up to Antwerp from Dunkirk is an easy one, and it was lovely seeing the French and Belgian countryside.
We stayed for a few nights in central Antwerp which gave us the chance to explore and capture some extra location shots which you can see at the start of the film. We took the opportunity for a day out in Bruges, where I ate some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life – Belgian waffles have my heart and I will be back.
Kelsey & Tim got married in a traditional Catholic church, something I especially loved about their wedding day is that Kelsey stayed with all her bridesmaids in an Airbnb overlooking the church courtyard. They said it was like a college slumber party, and it was so special being able to see as all the guests showed up ready for the ceremony. It’s a part of the day that brides especially often miss out on, so it was lovely to feel a part of it all as the anticipation built.
Kelsey being from Texas and Tim from the outskirts of Antwerp, they originally met in London. A chance encounter bringing them together , conquering oceans – the best of love stories in my opinion. To pay homage to their meetcute a London black cab picked them up from the church and whisked them away to the Kasteel Van Brasschaat. An incredible wedding venue 20 minutes out of the city centre, it’s beautifully traditional and grand from the front, but modernisation inside brings it up to date and means it is both spacious and flooded with natural light inside.
A moment I will never forget was when Kelsey’s father-daughter dance. She had told us in our pre-wedding video call how excited she was about it, but their amazing wedding planner Kate had also given us the heads up. Little did Kelsey know that her Dad had recorded himself singing the song that they danced to. You see the moment she realises in the film, it gives me goosebumps every single time.
After a very warm day, the sun set and brought the cool of the evening. Everyone was on the dance floor and it was one of the best dance floors of the year! We love seeing everyone having the best night, and celebrating the end of an incredible day!
I briefly mentioned her earlier but I have to say how incredible their planner Kate from The Destination Wedding Co was. She had every detail covered, she was involved and paying attention. Every part of the day she showed up with a smile and worked tirelessly to give her all and make everything perfect. From removing carpets to finding food, you never do know everything that a wedding planner has to sort behind the scenes. And Kate is second to none, truly invaluable. We cannot wait to work with her again!
Dear Kelsey & Tim,
Your love story gives me goosebumps. There are some wedding days where the couple’s personalities shine through and yours was absolutely one of them! You overcome so much to find your way to each other, you deserve everything and more. It was a joy to see your family and friends gather from across the globe and celebrate the love you have found.
Thank you for being so wonderful, you were a joy to work with and the loveliest of couples. Your family and friends were so much fun and showed UP with their outfits! We’ll always remember the couple who gave us the opportunity to film in Belgium, we loved every second of it. We cannot wait to see everything that your next chapter holds!
We’ll always believe in love stories, but yours reminded us again that finding love can happen when you’re least expecting it. And love overcomes all.
Sending all our love for your married life together, as always,
Bradley & Grace
